msi gf75 burnt smell on power up

Hi,

I do small repairs to my msi gf75, but recently one of the hinges was very hard to move and broke the surrounding plastic of the laptop covers.

Today I tried to glue that part and when I powered up the laptop I smelled something has burnt. Then the laptop stopped booting up at all.

What could be burnt ?

Did you disconnect the battery cable during repair?

No, but one friend today told me that putting super glue near the monitor might be the cause because when I assembled the laptop, the super glue might caused a short somewhere with the display contacts.
